THE SEEDS OF LEARNING
*Math: Counting With Friends
-When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object (one-to-one correspondence)
-Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted (cardinality). The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted
-Write numbers from 0 to 20
-Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20

*Focus Skills: Predict, Retell, Compare, Infer
-Read Together: "Where Are You?" poem
*Focus Skills: Comprehension, Cross-Checking (Does it look right? Does

*Writing: Show & Tell
-Work with partners to help find ways to make our writing better
-Write books about places that are important to us
-Make time for drawing pictures AND writing words
*Science: Motion
-Introduction to "force" & "motion"
-Investigate patterns of movement: straight, circular, back & forth, fast & slow, motionless
